Hey folks, there is a lot of great work being done by our team of volunteers getting the word out to new and existing sponsors and donors. Some of you may have seen that Stephen Smith’s brother actually reached out on our group’s Facebook page to share some very kind and inspiring words about the event: As an additional note, Stephen’s brother, Frederick (who is 82), reached out to our Facebook group page and left these following heartfelt messages: “This years 50th Anniversary is a credit to all those who have organized, supported and participated in this event. I am Stephens brother and I am certain he would be humbled by this continued support of the Cancer Society and all of its good work. Thank you for all your efforts. It would be hard to express just how much this yearly event meant to our mother and Stephens wife Beverly. It helped immensely in the early years to temper our loss. But as the impetus for continued good that involves so many people is quite frankly impossible to to imagine. 1974 to 2023 ... Thank you all.”. And I thank you all for working towards the great success of the 50th!
